Trainings

The scale and capacity of community science programs can vary across regions, and even across the same watershed. We at the Water Data Collaborative want to provide the necessary resources to all organizations that want to start a community science program or enhance an existing one. Through the crafting and sharing of peer-reviewed trainings on subjects like study design, field procedures, and so much more we aim to further eliminate barriers to community-based water quality monitoring.

All current WDC trainings are included below and more will continually be added as they become available.

Study Design

Study design is an essential component of any water quality monitoring program, to ensure the quality of the data you collect, methods, equipment, and technologies for monitoring programs. The courses in this online school will assist you in constructing and evaluating your volunteer monitoring program.
